THE SHADOW MOUNTAINS //

The Shadow Mountains is a continuous microcosm of life, moving from glass box to glass box, city to city, dwelling to dwelling, and somehow only getting better.

A freshwater aquarium ecosystem I began in 2019, it has since its inception flourished in:

20 gallons.

44 gallons.

75 gallons in an awesome apartment.

And 75 gallons in an okay house.

INHABITANTS //

  • Lots of death and change recently.
  • Fat Bastard | Featherfin Squeaker (Synodontis Euptera)
Perhaps The Shadow Mountain's oldest inhabitant.
  • Shark Boys | Three Midnight Catfish (Auchenipterichthys Coracoideus)
  • Freddie Fish | White Parrot Cichlid (Paratheraps Synspilum x Amatitlania Nigrofasciata)
    He's an asshole.
  • Hellboy | Black x Red Eyes Angelfish (Petrophyllum Scalare)
  • The Blue Spot and Poppy II | Nice typical Angel and Koi Angel (Petrophyllum Scalare)
  • Some Congo Tetras | No names for them. (Phenacogrammus Interruptus)
  • One small Bosemani Rainbow? | Maybe I should name it. I should at the very least get more. (Melanotaenia Boesemani)
  • Singular Really Cool Rainbow Fish | Bred by some famous dude somehow related loosely to Aquarium Co-Op. Too bad I can't remember the breeder's name or their exact species ...
  • Goldies died. Will I ever learn?
  • Penelope | Nice Discus (Symphysodon Discus)
  • Can you spot them all?
